Plant details

Savoy cabbages are particularly popular with crisp juicy crinkled leaves and very solid hearts with little waste. Later maturing varieties often fill the gap between the last winter cabbages and those not ready for spring cutting. Sow seeds in prepared beds from late April to May and plant out into their final positions from July to August in rows 60cm (24in) apart. Ormskirk 1 - Ormskirk Late' has deeply crimped, dark green foliage and is ready for cutting from late January to March.
