Plant details

This variety has dark green, deeply curled leaves full of vitamin A and C. It is very winter hardy and slow to bolt. You can pick the tasty leaves throughout the winter months when required. Sow seeds in pots in a coldframe or outside from April to May or alternatively sow in July directly where it is to grow. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
