Hardy in all but the coldest parts of the country, this fine species of bottle brush can bring a flavour of the Australian outback to any garden. Narrow, needle-pointed leaves cover the arching stems which become topped with dense spikes of brilliant red flowers in summer. Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
