Campanulas are loved for their bell-like, usually blue flowers and long flowering season. Traditionally used in cottage garden schemes, campanulas look particularly lovely when grown under shrub roses. Campanula flowers are extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Campanula glomerata produces bell shaped flowers and dark green leaves. It's perfect for growing in a sunny, cottage-garden scheme or informal herbaceous border. Campanula glomerata 'Bellefleur Blue' is a particularly vigorous variety, ideal for growing in mixed borders. It bears large heads of dark, purple-violet flowers in early summer and often again later in the season.
