Plant details
The huge purple veined leaves of 'Wyoming' make a bold statement in any garden. Then, in late summer, warm apricot orange flowers, whose petals are slightly frilled, appear on long stalks above the striking foliage. In very mild districts plants may be grown permanently in a warm sheltered border or protected in winter. In frost-prone areas, remove the leaves and stem when they are blackened by frost and lift the rhizomes for winter storage. Cannas are dramatic plants that deserves that little extra care.
