Plant details

Ceanothus 'Blue Cushion' is a compact, evergreen shrub bearing small, oblong, dark green leaves. In late spring, fluffy dark-blue flowers are produced from reddish purple buds.

For best results grow Ceanothus 'Blue Cushion' in well-drained soil in full sun, ideally against a south- or west-facing wall. In very cold winters plants may need some protection from frost. Cut dead wood in the spring and trim their side-shoots after flowering.
