Chrysanthemum carinatum, also known as painted daisy, are fast growing, branched annuals with almost succulent leaves. They're ideal for adding height to borders, as well as interest from their unusual and long-lasting flowers. Encourage bushy plants by pinching them back when they're young. They grow best in full sun and in soil that is slightly moist. Chrysanthemum carinatum  ‘Polar Star’ produces pale yellow blooms, with orange zoning.
