It has somewhat sticky, dark blue-green, leathery leaves, and bears a succession of pure white flowers with a prominent yellow centres, from June to August. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
