I have a clematis armandii growing in a pot, but it hasn't flowered at all,so I'm wondering whether it can be grown in containers.It gets sunlight in the mornings but is in shade all afternoon. Maybe it's not sheltered enough from winds. I would like to know if it has any chance of flowering in the present conditions. Was hoping to have it growing over an arch, but since the soil is compact clay, I thought the container was the answer. Any suggestions would be welcome.
