Viticella clematis usually have nodding, single or double, open-bell-shaped flowers. However Clematis 'Galore' has open, flopping flowers, dusky purple with yellow stamens. An extremely vigorous and very free-flowering variety, it makes a great companion plant for climbing or rambling roses, or why not allow it to scramble through small trees and shrubs? Clematis 'Galore' is also perfect for training up sturdy obelisks in large herbaceous borders.

Being a summer-flowering clematis, Clematis 'Galore' is in Pruning Group 3. Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
