Clematis 'Venosa Violacea'

Raised in France in the 1800s, 'Venosa Violcea' holds its own against the modern varieties and has been give then Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) in recognition of its outstanding excellence. It has attractive nodding white flowers which are strongly edged in deep purple. This late flowering clematis looks lovely scrambling through trees and shrubs in full sun or partial shade.
