Clematis 'Night Veil'

Plant details

Clematis 'Night Veil' bears small, semi-nodding, red-purple flowers with a redder central bar on each petal and white filaments with dark purple anthers. A Japanese cross between C. florida var. sieboliana and C. 'Rubra', it is ideal for clothing a trellis or growing in a container where it can be trained up an obelisk, or allowed to scramble through shrubs and trees for a more natural look. 

Being a summer-flowering clematis, 'Night Veil' is in Pruning Group 3. Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
