Flowering dogwood is a stunning sight in late spring when its branches are covered by white bracts. 'Rainbow' is a compact, upright shrub which has beautiful leaves which have golden margins. In the autumn, these turn red-purple with scarlet margins. Grow in neutral to acid, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
