Plant details

Not commonly seen in gardens, this beautiful North American shrub deserves to be better known. In late spring, it is covered in white to pink star-shaped bracts which are joined at the tips as they open. This display is followed in autumn by glorious fall leaf colours of red and purple. Grow in well-drained, neutral to acid soil in sun or partial shade.
