Crocus sieberi has lilac-coloured flowers with white and yellow centres. Like most other crocuses, it's ideal for naturalising in lawns and beneath trees, and looks wonderful growing in large drifts. Alternatively it can be grown in a pot so the delicate blooms can be admired at close quarters.
Plant Crocus sieberi bulbs in autumn, 8-10cm deep in poor, gritty, well-drained soil, in full sun. Allow foliage to die down completely after flowering.
