Plant details

Marrows are popular summer squashes, with prolific crops of large solid fruits that can be used immediately or stored for several weeks if ripened fully in autumn. There are trailing kinds, which make masses of sprawling shoots, ideal as ground cover under sweetcorn, or compact varieties, such as 'Long Green Bush 2'. It is one of the most popular varieties as it produces an abundance of early medium-sized green fruit.
