Winter-flowering heathers are mainly varieties of Erica carnea and Erica x darleyensis. They are all very hardy and lime-tolerant, although not happy on chalky soils, and generally flower all winter into early spring.
Erica carnea 'Springwood White' is a vigorous, trailing winter heather, bearing bright green foliage and masses of white flowers. It's ideal for growing in pots as part of a winter container display, and works well with early flowering spring bulbs.
For best results grow Erica carnea 'Springwood White' in well-drained, slightly acidic soil in full sun.
