Plant details

A good choice for a sunny spot in well-drained soil, this dramatic perennial blooms from June to July. Its feathery bracts have three tiers, producing a beautiful misty effect. To dry for indoor arrangements, cut before the flowers are fully open. Plants enjoy a sunny position in well-drained, dry soil. Protect plants from winter wet. To propagate either take root cuttings in late winter or sow seeds as soon as they are ripe.
