Originating from the Mediterranean, it's found on dry rocky slopes and scrubland. It forms a natural rounded shape and is ideal for growing in sunny herbaceous borders and gravel gardens.
Euphorbia characias ‘Tasmanian Tiger’ has greyish evergreen leaves edged with creamy white, reminiscent of tiger stripes. Conical flowerheads appear in spring, comprising creamy bracts with a green eye.
For best results grow Euphorbia characias ‘Tasmanian Tiger’ in well-drained soil in full sun. In summer, prune spent flowering stems down to the base of the plant to encourage a second flush.
