Plant details
A mound-forming evergreen perennial that will brighten up a dull spot in the garden. It is suitable for the front of a border or container on the patio. It produces flower stems during winter that turn from light green to dark red before bright yellow flowers emerge from March until May. Divide in early spring or take basal cuttings in spring and summer. Take care when pruning, as the white latex from cut stems is harmful to eyes, skin and should not be ingested.
