Fuchsias are hard to beat for summer containers and borders. 'Celia Smedley' is a particularly fine variety that produces masses of large, single flowers with dark pink tubes and currant-red skirts (corollas). It is a strong, upright grower that is perfect for training into different shapes, such as standards. Like all tender fuchsia varieties, it needs to be brought indoors to overwinter in a frost-free place.
