Plant details

Formely called Pernettya mucronata, this evergreen shrub is grown for its glossy dark green leaves and attractive berries. The berries range in colour from white to deep purple and it is best to plant male and female bushes together to ensure a good crop. Grow one of the named varieties, such as 'Mulberry Wine' which has magenta berries or pure white 'Wintertime', to get the berry colour you want.
