Plant details

There are about 100 different species of hebes, the popular evergreen shrubs, and many more cultivars created for use in gardens, as they are suitable for a range of sites. Used in shrub borders, ground cover or hedging, flowers come in a range of colours from pinks, to blues and whites. Less hardy types can be grown in cool glass or alpine houses and some varieties are even used to decorate rock gardens. Hebe ‘Green Globe’ has moss coloured foliage, a round shape and small densely grown branches. In summer, this cultivar produces white flowers.
