Plant details
This is a favourite shrub for low maintenance gardens, as it is a low growing evergreen plant that needs little or no pruning. It has purple stems with blue-green, leathery leaves and from late spring to early summer the shrub is covered in a profusion of white flowers. Although all hebes can tolerate shade, they flower best in full sun and must have well-drained soil with plenty of compost worked in to prevent the roots from becoming too dry.
