Helleborus x ericsmithii produces upright rosettes of attractively mottled mid-green foliage throughout the year. In its second year each stem produces a cluster of showy pale greenish-pink flowers. It's an attractive, delicate hellebore but is not always hardy in cooler regions.
Grow Helleborus x ericsmithii in well-drained soil in full sun, ideally with the added protection of a south or west-facing wall. Once the plants have shed their seed, remove the spent flower stem to encourage plants to produce new shoots from the base.
