Heucheras are native to the woodlands of North America. They tend to grow in dense clumps and have brightly coloured foliage. While plants are mainly grown for their foliage, inconspicuous flowers in summer add to their charm.

Heuchera 'Blackout' is a compact, mound-forming heuchera, bearing dramatic glossy, black-purple leaves. It's perfect for growing at the front of a shady border, or in baskets or pots on the patio. To add to its charm, masses of tiny cream flowers are borne on tall stems in summer.

For best results grow Heuchera 'Blackout' in moist but well-drained soil in partial shade.
