Plant details
Gordon' is a member of the Reticulata group of iris. It produces blue flowers with golden yellow and white throats in early spring. It is ideal for pots or rockeries. Plant the bulbs 5-10cm (2-4in) apart at twice their own depth in well-drained, moderately fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Top dress the soil with grit to avoid the delicate blooms getting splashed with soil when it rains. To propagate, divide bulbs from mid-summer to early autumn to increase stocks.
