Plant details
The leaves of 'Ostbo Red' are a plae yellow-green to bronze when young, maturing to a glossy dark green. The flowers are carried in clusters from the tips of the shoots in June. Individually they are exquisite and worth a closer look. The iridescent red buds resemble icing sugar cake decorations, while fully open flowers are saucer-shaped and a soft deep pink. It will tolerate half shade as well as sun in gardens, and is also tolerant of summer drought. However, it performs best where soil moisture is present throughout the growing season.
