A kindly neighbour of mine split her Red Hot Poker the other week after it had finished flowering and gave me on of the tubers. She has chopped it right down to about 8". I replanted it but the large stem in the middle seems to be dying off.
Can anyone please tell me how to look after it as it is one plant I have always wanted and it would be a shame to lose it..
Thanks in advance

I have a knophofia plant and at the moment it is only foliage, is it alright if I cut the foliage down or will it kill the plant.
Many thanks,
peewee
