Plant details
A familiar sight in late spring, this hybrid form 'Vossii' is by far the best variety of laburnum, producing a lavish display of extremely long clusters of yellow flowers. The poisonous seeds are not as abundant as on other varieties, and gardeners often remove them to ensure good flowering the following year. It can be easily trained on an overhead structure. It may be propagated from hardwood cuttings in winter. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it an Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
