Plant details
Anniversary' is a favourite among exhibition sweet pea growers and regularly features on the showbench. A vigorous plant, it produces sweetly scented, large white flowers with pink, wavy edges. Cut the blooms regularly as this encourages more to follow. Like all sweet peas, it is easy to grow. Simply sow in pots in autumn or early spring, or outdoors where they are to flower in mid-spring. Train them up a support, such as netting or a wigwam of canes. They produce curly tendrils to attach themselves to their support so they do not need to be tied in after they are initially planted. Water well in dry weather. As an annual, they last only one year and will need to be sown from seed each spring.
