Plant details

This attractive and unusual lavender is a hybrid between Lavandula lanata and L. angustifolia, and enjoys a hot dry position, sheltered from cold winds and frost. It is also an excellent container plant, with handsome foliage at all times, and a prolific display of opulent purple blooms. Annual trimming is important to prevent leggy and untidy growth, but with this minimal attention plants grow into fine specimens, with very fragrant blooms on long stems.
