Plant details
Although similar to pot marigolds, tidy tips produces bold yellow flowers with white tips. It looks particularly good planted with other hardy annuals and grasses in naturalised drifts. It's also particularly good for filling gaps in the herbaceous border while larger plants establish. It's easy to grow from seed outdoors and will provide a good show, even in the poorest soils. The flowers last well when cut and should keep going all summer. Grow tidy tips from seed, sown outdoors in spring or autumn.
