Plant details

Perhaps the best known of the shrubby honeysuckles that are used for hedging. It's dense and fast-growing quickly producing a bushy hedge. The variety 'Red Tips' produces bright scarlet new growth that gradually fades with maturity. The new growth is supple making it useful for training into elaborate shapes and outdoor topiary. Plants will thrive on most soils in sun or shade. Plants may require several trims during the growing season to keep them tidy.
