Plant details
Hairy canary clover is a mini Mediterranean shrub that makes a mound of evergreen leaves with pea-like, pinkish-white flowers in summer and early autumn, followed by reddish-brown seed pods. It'll stay evergreen in mild, sheltered conditions over winter, otherwise losing leaves. Excellent drainage is vital because cold, wet winter soil is fatal. Alternatively, grow in a rock garden or large pot, bringing it under cover over winter because it isn't reliably hardy. It has been given the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS.
