The tree lupin is a beautiful evergreen shrub with silky shoots and grey-green leaves. From late spring to summer, fragrant yellow, sometimes blue, flowers appear. These are similar to the cultivated varieties of lupin but with looser panicles of flowers which are about 30cm (1ft) long.
