Plant details
Alicante' produces heavy crops of tasty tomatoes. It gives consistently good results, whether grown in the greenhouse or outdoors. The fruits are produced early in the season and are medium in size, making them perfect for eating whole or sliced in salads or sandwiches. This variety shows resistance to a disorder called greenback, which causes the fruit to fail to ripen normally. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
