The towering, yellow flower spikes of loosestrife make it an elegant plant for the border, bog garden or pond margin. It is also good for planting in wild or woodland gardens, where it can happily spread as it can be invasive. Plant in humus-rich, moist soil that doesn't dry out in the summer in sun or partial shade.
