Maianthemum laxiflorum

Plants in the Maianthemum genus are mat-forming rhizomatous perennials, bearing erect or arching stems of alternate leaves. Flowers are small and star-shaped, and are followed by pretty red berries.

Maianthemum laxiflorum bears deciduous, thick leaves on long stems, and long inflorescences of fluffy white flowers. For best results grow in a sheltered site in a moisture retentive soil in part shade, and protect the rhizomes from freezing in winter.
