Plant details
The prayer plant is a popular houseplant, thanks to its beautiful foliage. The pale green leaves are decorated with chocolate-brown markings. The unusual common name of prayer plant comes from its habit of closing its leaves together, like hands in prayer, during the night. Grow in bright filtered or bright indirect light in a shallow pot. Keep humidity high at all times and water moderately and feed once a month during the growing season. Water sparingly in winter.
