Cragford' is a small-flowered daffodil with several scented white flowers on each stem which appear in early spring. It makes an excellent cut flower and is also a perfect variety as a pot plant. For an indoor display plant the bulbs 5cm (2in) deep in early autumn, in a loam-based compost. Plunge the pots in a coldframe outdoors until new shoots appear. Then move them to a greenhouse and increase the heat. As the buds begin to open, take the plants indoors to enjoy the beautiful blooms.
