Found growing wild in Eastern US, Maypops is hardy in the UK. It produces bowl-shaped, scented, pale purple flowers throughout the summer. These are followed by egg-shaped yellow fruit. This evergreen climber is great for covering walls or trellis, clinging to its support with tendrils. It enjoys a sunny or partially shaded spot in moist but well-drained soil.
