Plant details

This attractive ornamental grass from East Asia to Western Australia makes a densely tufted clump of flat, mid- to dark green leaves. From summer to autumn, it bears yellow-green to dark purple spikey flowers. Its slightly tender nature means that plants may need protection in cold weather. Remove dead material every spring.
