Plant details

This is a low-spreading, dwarf, evergreen phlox with star-like, lavender blue flowers in early summer. It needs woodland conditions, a humus-rich soil that never dries out in summer or becomes too wet in winter. In a border, the plants grow well in light, dappled shade between shrubs, and are valuable for their evergreen foliage and early summer flowers. Plants make neat, year-round ground cover under roses or early-flowering shrubs.
