Plant details
Pittosporums are excellent for coastal regions where the climate is generally milder than inland. In these areas plants make good specimen trees or can be trimmed into neat hedges. 'Garnettii' is deservedly one of the most popular cultivars. It forms a large spreading bush with attractive creamy-white markings on the edges of its leaves. During late spring and early summer small, bell-shaped, purple flowers are produced in clusters followed by spherical brown seed capsules. Foliage of this plant makes an excellent accompaniment to cut flowers.
