Begonias are great for growing in pots, tubs or at the front of the garden border, providing splashes of summer colour. Along with busy lizzies and fuchsias, they're ideal for shady patios as they prefer light shade.

Begonia 'Espresso Sugardip Pink' has large unusual blooms with crimped and picoteed edges. Grow in moist but well-drained soil in partial shade to full sun. Start the tubers off in late February at a temperature of about 15°C and plant them out in to their final spot in late May to early June. Lift the tubers again in autumn, before the first frosts. Alternatively, grow Begonia 'Espresso Sugardip Pink' in pots, which you can move indoors in autumn.
