Clematis 'Blue Belle' is a vigorous, free-flowering clematis that produces masses of violet-purple flowers from midsummer to early autumn. It's a member of the viticella group of clematis and as such it shows good resistance to clematis wilt. It's perfect for growing up a trellis or obelisk, or trained to scramble through trees or shrubs.

Grow Clematis 'Blue Belle' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. As with all late-flowering clematis, pruning is easy Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
