Clematis 'Bourbon' is a striking dwarf clematis producing red flowers with bright golden-yellow anthers in the centre. It's a versatile variety that can be used in containers on the patio or balcony. It's tolerant of most conditions and will thrive in any moist, but well-drained soil where the roots are shaded and the top growth is in the sun. When the plant starts to grow in spring, spread out the growth to ensure there is plenty of room for the shoots to develop.

Flowering from May to July, Clematis ‘Bourbon’ falls into Pruning Group Two. There's no real need to prune, but you may wish to tidy up stems in spring.
