Clematis 'Kaen' is an unusual, Japanese variety of clematis, which bears fully double large pink-red wavy edged flowers and striking seedheads.

It's ideal for growing along fences, trellises and pergolas, and is also suitable for growing through shrubs and small trees.

Clematis 'Kaen' falls into Pruning Group Two. It doesn't require pruning, but you may wish to deadhead and remove dead stems in spring.
