Clematis 'Venosa Violcea' bears attractive nodding white flowers which are strongly edged in deep purple. It looks lovely scrambling through trees and shrubs, and may also be trained up an obelisk. A viticella clematis, it shows good resistance to clematis wilt.

Grow Clematis 'Venosa Violcea' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Falling into Pruning Group Three, simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
